Storing non View related data in state?

Hello,

I have seen advice against storing non-View related data in state. However, I really like how React Developer Tools (browser) allows me to view the state data in real time. So, why not store other data (which doesn’t change after initial load) in state as well, for easier debugging?

Unless there’s another way to view variables content in a React app, live in the browser?

Thanks
