Hi Again,

I have created a Recipe Finder application using React and Redux. I have also deployed the application to surge. You can find it here:

Does not work for me

Fetch API cannot load No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘’ is therefore not allowed access. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request’s mode to ‘no-cors’ to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.

Hi Daniel,
Please install the allow origin cors chrome plugin from here:

Try again and it should work. I forgot to add these details in the file in my git repository. I will update it soon.

Hi Daniel,
Install the allow cors plugin for chrome from here:

Try again in chrome and it should work now. I will update the file in my git repository.

No thanks, I am not going to install stuff like that. React application must work out of the box without user installing something extra. You just need to do proper setup to your server or find different hosting.

Hi Daniel,
I am also looking for a solution to this problem. I have enabled cors on, when deploying files. But it still needs the chrome plugin. Inside the code I have used fetch to request the url. Could you please let me know if you have a solution for this.

What’s the problem? It’s working now… Not that the app is something great. You need to work on your design skills. It looks like one of those scam search sites that just collect privacy information. It does not even work well. I tried to enter “pancake” and I end up with "cake, " in the input. Good luck, I’ve seen enough
